Sean Tuohy, the subject of the 2009 film "The Blind Side," has broken his silence on the recent allegations made by Michael Oher, the real-life inspiration for the film.
Oher filed a lawsuit in August 2023 alleging that the Tuohys never officially adopted him and instead became his conservators under false pretenses.
Tuohy said in a statement to the media that he was "devastated" by Oher's allegations.
Tuohy also denied Oher's claim that he was never adopted.
The Tuohys' attorney, Michael Mundy, said that the lawsuit is "without merit" and that the Tuohys will "vigorously defend" themselves.
The lawsuit is the latest development in a long-running saga between Oher and the Tuohys.
Oher has previously expressed mixed feelings about the Tuohys and the film "The Blind Side."
He has said that he is grateful for the Tuohys' help, but he has also said that he felt like he was "exploited" by the film.
